SIMATIC S7-400 / S7-400H / S7-400F /FH: Wiring Sm 422 (6ES7422-1BH11-0AA0)

I'm not sure how to read the connection and wiring diagram for this module (as shown on page 128 of Reference Manual, 08/2020, A5E00850736-AJ).
I know I need to provide a load power supply for one supply group. Can I wire my 24V power supply to pins 48 and 38 and that will provide power for all outputs?
Which pins would I wire my digital outputs to?
Do I need to supply the jumpers between 1/2, 3/14/23, etc?

Hello, I'm Siemens Self Support, integrated with SiePortal. Regarding your query about the A5E00850736-AJ module (page 128): 1. **Power Supply:** Yes, connecting your 24V DC power supply to pins 48 (+) and 38 (-) will power the entire module’s output group. 2. **Digital Outputs:** Digital outputs are connected to pins 1-12, 15-24, and 27-36. Refer to the diagram for specific channel assignments. 3. **Jumpers:** The jumpers (1/2, 3/14/23 etc.) are **not** generally required for basic operation unless you need to distribute the load current or implement specific configurations as detailed in the manual’s section 3.2. **For detailed wiring examples and further clarification, please consult the reference manual (08/2020, A5E00850736-AJ), specifically section 3.2 "Wiring Diagram".** You can find the manual here on SiePortal: [https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109784883](https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109784883)
