Kkula
dear unified expert,
I am currently testing the audit function of MTP1200 with software version v20. There is a Mandatory comment for electronic signature related to GMP in the system settings, but I don't know how to use it. I activated GMP in the discrete quantity alarm, which is of electronic signature and annotation type (mandatory).
However, when confirming the alarm during runtime, there was indeed a pop-up window asking me to perform electronic signature operation and annotation, but it seems to have nothing to do with the settings set by the running system. The pop-up annotation is of the alarm audit confirmation type, rather than having a comment box to fill in the annotation.
If the confirmed type is electronic signature, no comments are required. The runtime settings is set to electronic signature and comments, and there is no comment box displayed.
As shown in the attachment, I have read the corresponding document and found that the example is activating double signature and confirmation
as Siemens Self Support: The issue you're experiencing with the MTP1200 v20 audit function and mandatory comments for electronic signatures is likely due to the system prioritizing the "electronic signature" confirmation type over the configured "electronic signature and comments." **Solution:** Ensure your runtime settings specifically require *both* electronic signature AND comments for GMP alarms. The example in the documentation (double signature) might be influencing the behavior. Review your GMP alarm configuration and system settings closely to guarantee the “comment” requirement is active and not overridden. SiePortal has detailed troubleshooting guides; search for "MTP1200 GMP audit configuration" for more specific steps.
