SIMATIC S7-400 / S7-400H / S7-400F /FH: S7 series 400 Rack number Configuration

Hi all,
I have a problem with the S7-400 connection as following
This module has previously set up as a redudundant module in RACK 1 in a redudant S7-400 system. Now I have only one module mounted on rack 0 to test but the indication still at rack 1 and I can not connect (as to download hardware configuration) and programming
I have tried to mounted this module on rack 1 but it doesnt not allow me to down load OB1 and go online with the other FB. FC.OBs etc as i still search for RACK 0 connection
Is there anyway i can reset this module to RACK 0 and re download all program to do the testing? Is there any physical setting for this ?
It is pretty urgent so I will appreciate all response
Regards

S7-400 Module Redundancy Reset - Siemens Self Support

You're facing an issue where an S7-400 module retains redundancy information from a previous Rack 1 configuration, even after being moved to Rack 0 for testing.

Here's how to resolve this:

  1. Force Module Reset: The most effective method is to use the "Force Module Reset" function within Step 7. This clears the redundancy settings. Navigate to Options > Transfer > Parameterize Module. Select the module and choose "Force Module Reset".
  2. Parameterization Data: After the reset, ensure the module is correctly parameterized for Rack 0 in your hardware configuration.
  3. Download Hardware Configuration: Download the complete hardware configuration to the CPU, including the newly reset module.

Important Considerations:

  • There is no physical switch or jumper to reset redundancy information. The reset must be done via software.
  • After resetting, download OB1 and your program to the CPU.
