SIMODRIVE Converter system: E-a504 Fault Upon Motor Controller

Hi,
I have been getting an error of E-A504 on my simodrive 611u drive which has two motors connected to it a B axis and C axis.
Also get alarm 25201 B axis drive fault along with 380500 alarm.
Any ideas? maybe the motor or drive or encoder cables need replacing?

SIMODRIVE 611U - E-A504, 25201, 380500 Alarms

The combination of E-A504 (Drive Fault), 25201 (B-axis drive fault), and 380500 (Internal fault) on a SIMODRIVE 611U with dual motors (B & C axis) indicates a likely issue within the drive itself, specifically relating to the B-axis output stage.

Possible Causes & Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Drive Hardware Fault: The E-A504 and 380500 strongly point to an internal drive issue. This is the most probable cause.
  • Motor/Cable Issues (Less Likely): While possible, replacing motors or cables without further diagnosis is not recommended initially.
  • Encoder Issues: Less likely to directly cause these alarms, but should be checked if the drive fault persists after potential drive repair/replacement.

Recommended Actions:

  1. Check Drive Documentation: Refer to the SIMODRIVE 611U manual for specific details on error code 380500. SiePortal offers access to documentation: SIMODRIVE 611U Documentation
  2. Fault History Analysis: Thoroughly analyze the fault history in the drive's diagnostics.
  3. Contact Siemens Support: Due to the internal fault indication, it's highly recommended to contact Siemens Technical Support for further diagnosis and potential drive repair/replacement. You can create a support request via SiePortal: Siemens Support Portal

Caution: Working with drives involves potentially hazardous voltages. Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
