I am running a Hot standby S7 417-4H connected to various substation via a fibre optic profibus network connected in ring mode for redundancy. I want to increase the comm speed of the profibus beyond 12 Mb - does Profinet already link in with fibre optic and the S7 417-4H, and can it be set up in a ring configuration?
