I'm trying to root cause a very sporadic issue WRT Simatic Logon attempts exceeding the preset value of 6.
Some instances of 7, 8 or 9 attempts being made before the user account is locked. This was picked up in the audit trail of the HMI (TP700 Comfort) and is aligned with the audit trail of Simatic Logon (PCS 7).
The Simatic server is in a local network that uses Active Directory for other systems also. The AD server is set to the same limit of incorrect logon attempts before locking a user.
The PLC project has been verified to use Simatic logon verification for the project.
Testing has been carried out but to no avail. Each time a test is performed, the system acts as it should, locking user account after 6 failed attempts.
