Opening PSB Files for MP170 Micro HMI Design

Hello!

You've backed up your MP170 Micro HMI using ProSave, resulting in a .psb file. To open this for HMI program design, you'll use WinCC Micro BASIC (formerly ProTool). Here's how:

1. Launch WinCC Micro BASIC: Open the WinCC Micro BASIC software on your computer.
2. New Project or Open Existing: You can either create a new project and import the .psb file, or directly open the .psb file. Go to File > Open.
3. Select PSB File: Browse to the location where you saved the .psb file and select it.
4. Conversion/Import: WinCC Micro BASIC will automatically convert/import the .psb file into a project file (.pwb).
