Decentral Peripherie: Replacement Fieldbus protocol Component Intended For obsolete units

Hello all
I am looking for a replacement profibus IO module for a machine with a bunch of WAGO 755-102 (PDF attached) , if you open the PDF you can see these devices have 4 digital outputs and 8 digital inputs with M12 connectors.  these modules are sometimes exposed to dripping hydraulic oil so it would be nice if the replacements were also sealed units, the old units are rated IP67.
if there are no good siemens options, then I would potentially use another brand .
thanks in advance.

Profibus IO Module Replacement for WAGO 755-102

Hello,

Based on your requirement for a replacement Profibus IO module with similar specifications to the WAGO 755-102 (4 DO, 8 DI, M12 connectors, IP67 rating), here's a breakdown of Siemens options and considerations:

Siemens Options:

Siemens offers several Profibus DP IO modules that could be suitable. However, a direct, fully sealed (IP67) replacement with the exact same channel count and M12 connectors is not readily available. Here are a few close alternatives:

  • SIMATIC ET 200SP, Standard IO Module, 8 DI/4 DO (6ES7193-4CD30-0AA0): This is a robust option, part of the ET 200SP distributed IO system. Requires IP67 rated IO stations.More details
  • SIMATIC ET 200AL, Standard IO Module, 8 DI/4 DO (6ES7138-4CD30-0AA0): ET 200AL is another distributed IO system. Also needs IP67 rated IO stations.More details

Important Note: For both ET 200SP and ET 200AL, you'll need to select appropriate IP67 rated station heads/ housings to achieve the desired protection against hydraulic oil.

Alternative Brands:

Given the difficulty in finding an exact Siemens equivalent with integrated IP67 sealing, exploring other brands like WAGO or Phoenix Contact might be worthwhile. They often have more readily available, fully sealed IO modules.

Please review the attached PDF and consider your specific application needs when making a final decision.
