SIMATIC S7-1200: Multiple Cpus Intended For stepper motors & controlled Via a single Human machine interface

Hello everyone,
I am new to the Siemens PLC. Currently, I am working on a S7-1214C DC/DC/DC.
In my project, I would like to control at least 6 stepper motors which need at least 6 PWM/PTO outputs from PLC. I have read several forums which mentioned that it would be a choice to use two S7-1200s so the system has 8 PWM/PTO outputs.
I would like to ask if this is the best way to precisely control stepper motors with multiple CPUs, or there is other better solution.
Besides, if I have two S7-1200s, is it possible to control them with only one HMI?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
