LOGO! - Projects: Speed Management

Hi All
I'm tasked to come up with the application as below using LOGO, but i have unfortunatly very less  knowledge.
The input will be an Hall effect sensor installed on an rotation axle.
Abrev.: SP = Measured speed , RL = relay output, X = let say 45km/h
The working scheme :
At start up RL shall be activated for 4 – 7 sec.
When SP > X for > 30 sec, when SP < X for > 5 sec, RL is activated during 4 – 7 sec.
When SP > X for < 30 sec, when SP < X, RL shall be activated immediately during 4 – 7 sec.
I thank you already for your help.

LOGO! Application for Speed-Based Relay Control

This outlines a solution for your application using a Siemens LOGO! PLC, based on hall effect sensor input (SP) and relay output (RL) control.

Functionality Summary:

  • Startup: RL activates for 4-7 seconds.
  • Speed > X for > 30s, then SP < X for > 5s: RL activates for 4-7 seconds.
  • Speed > X for < 30s, SP < X: RL activates immediately for 4-7 seconds.

Implementation Approach:

This requires timers and comparison blocks within the LOGO! software. Here's a breakdown:

  1. Startup Timer: Use a TON (Timer On Delay) to activate RL for 4-7 seconds at power-up.
  2. Speed Comparison & Timers:
    • Compare SP to X using a comparison block.
    • Use two TON timers: one for SP > X (>= 30s) and one for SP < X (>= 5s).
    • Logic to trigger RL based on the timer states as per your requirements.
  3. Short Duration Speed > X: Implement logic to activate RL immediately if SP > X for less than 30 seconds and SP < X.
