Kkula
Hi All,
Configuration: S7-1215C AC/DC/RLY, firmware V4.1.3. No SB-module
Software: TIA Portal V13 SP1 Upd7
I configured two HSC counters (HSC1and HSC2) at 100 kHz, input %I0.0 and %I0.2. I want to count the number of pulses in one second. I have written a program to do this task but at 10 KHz (actually switching the generator from 1kHz -> 10 kHz) the counters freezes until I lower the frequency. Because I forgot to set the input filter 0.1 microsec I reload the project ->
Compile: Hardware (rebuild all)
Compile: Software (rebuild all blocks)
Download: Hardware configuration
Download: Software (only changes)
This has no effect. So going back to basic. A new PLC project, NO software eg. only OB1, just only the correct hardware configuration (incl. the correct filter setting). Reloading project etc. I made a watch table to read the addresses %ID1000 - %ID1007. Result: not working, still having troubles to go >= 10 kHz.
I give the PLC a factory reset -. switch it off -> switch it on again -> reload the project and suddenly one counter HSC1 was working correctly!. I was able to read the counter approx. 100 kHz. Counter HSC2 was not correctly working < 10 kHz.
I used another input %I0.4 for HSC2, after downloading both counters HSC1 and HSC2 < 10 kHz. I try to made a factory reset etc. never saw the 100 kHz at the input of one or both counters.Even if i only use one counter.
I can imagine that the filter settings are not correct set in the hardware. I didn't lower the frequency from 10kHz to the frequency (only switching it back to 1kHz). I will try that tomorrow to check at which frequency counting is starting AND I will test another PLC to see if that PLC behaves the same as described above.
Q1: Is there a possibilty to read out the hardware registers with filter settings and other settings?
Q2: Has anybody encountered the same problems?
Q3: Is there another way to clear the PLC completely besides the factory reset?
Thanks in advance
René
