Hi folks,
I'm facing a difficulty regarding the slow execution of program. The PCS7 version is 8.0 SP1 and using mixture of Fail safe and Normal IO cards. In run time group distribution, I have placed all channel driver of Fail safe modules in OB34 (200 ms) and normal blocks are placed in OB33 (500 ms). No PIP is assigned in hardware config.
This is creating a delay in the response time of the CPU. Once the input is activated in the field, the control action from charts to activate the output is around 2 seconds. This is unacceptable for any fail-safe system. There must be something wrong in the program or configuration.
Further we have encoders also at site which are giving pulse input to PLC each second. But some of the pulses are lapsed at the channel driver end itself resulting in logic error.
I had tried to place all blocks in single OB, but could not download it. Total 50 profibus nodes are connected to CPU 416-5H.
Can anyone suggest a possible solution?
