Edit for moderators: SORRY, I posted this in 1200 section, it had to be in 300 or in "general" since the cpu is an IM151. Sorry again
Dear all,
I have to use a IM151 CPU with TIA Portal V13.1. I am not very experienced in PLC programming since my main hobby is the Motion Control (Simotion).
So, questions are :
-- I have to use and instance like 50 times an FB which has to contain a Timer (TON), every TON is independent from the others, obviously. My question is how to declare the TON inside the FB to make it work, I mean, since it is not like a TON of an OB, where it is declared in the global memory.... Is it enough to declare it in the "Static" part of the FB's declaration ?
My goal is to launch the FB's instances without caring about creating instances of the timers...
-- Stupid but critical question. In another project I used my merker variables and Real and Word variables using the main memory space (%MW0.0 ecc ecc) , but working with Lreal or Real or Int, etc, it is very very very easy to create an overlap and make the program do crazy things. Worried of the easy way to make overlaps, I used a generic DB where I put inside all my variable, thus in the main memory I have only peripheral Inputs and Outputs. Is this correct ? Does someone use this method ?
-- Is there a simple way of accessing the bits of a word in the 1200's style ( Myword.X0) ?
-- Is there a manual, or better, a practical example on how to use an SSI counting module to read an Absolute Gray Encoder ?
Danke in advance
