Hi guys, I'm new in the forum, but I hope you can help me.
I'm changing the control of one machine which uses Octagon boards to aSiemens S7-200 PLC
(6ES72162AD230XB0). Because of that I have plenty of questions.
a) Octagon uses Isolation boards for Input (Sensors) and Output (Pneumatic Valves). I'm wondering if I'm going to still need them, because they are quite big, and as far as I know the PLC is already isolated, I'm I right?
b) I'm goign to control 4 motors in 2 steps. First I'm moving 3 and then I'm moving the lastone. I got an EM253 position module. The question is if that's enough, i mean I can do all with one module? (I hope that I can)
c) Back to the motors, they are Vexta Step Motors and have their own drivers, and I just need them to move some distance, always the same distance. So to do that is necesary to use a position module, can be posible to do the controlin other way?
d) I'm going to use a TP070 Touch Panel. Once connected I need to make a setup to show programs or is automatic?... all the programs are loaded directly to the Touch Panel?... Is necessary to make some programming to display critical steps in the panel?...
e) Regarding the software. I need to do some parallel programing, I mean that I need to make 2 or 3 different programs and all need to work at thet same time, can that be possible?.... Which languaje is best to do that.. LAD, SCL, GRAPH...?, Can LAD do it?....
I will apreciate if you can help me with all these questions...
Regards!
