Hiii guyss, I want ask you about looping transmitter. I am working on siemens distributor, and my customer ask me to check their transmitter. The display show nothing, and their scada can't read anything signal from transmitter. The transmitter is probe LU, for level monitoring. What I do is bring the RD 300 to site to check the current looping on transmitter. When I see the actual transmitter, I see there is a lot of water inside of electrical board transmitter. Then I do a current looping with RD 300 with scaling :
Lower scale : 4 --> 4
Upper scale : 20 --> 20
This scaling I did for indicate the actual current which flow inside transmitter. After wiring, I powered on RD 300. The display transmitter is on, but it show the unknown symbol. The RD 300 show number 999.9. What I know from RD 300 is the current flow with infinite quantities. As physics formula, the infinite current happen when the resistance is nearly zero. And the resistance nearly zero indicate that the board is short circuit. I thinks this is happen because the water enter transmitter because of the conduit cable is broken. Does my conclusion right? Or you have any conclusion guys? Thank you.
