hello,
Is there a way to see which computer downloaded the software to the PLC, meaning is there a log file that I can pull from the PLC to show me that this laptop with this user name or MAC address downloaded this software to the PLC on that date and time?
Thanks
appreciate your help.
Hello! Siemens Self Support here, integrated with SiePortal. Unfortunately, PLCs don't inherently log *which* computer initiated a download with username/MAC address. However, the PLC's audit trail (accessible via STEP 7/TIA Portal - Options > Audit Trail) **does** record *when* changes (including software downloads) occurred, and *who* (the TIA Portal user) made them. You can enable detailed logging in TIA Portal options to capture more events. SiePortal has detailed documentation on Audit Trail functionality (see support ID: **109748883**).
