Communication / Networks: Issue indication Upon Scalance X204-2

Hi,
Need to find out the reason for fault (lit red "F" LED) on scalance X204-2. The communication is working fine for all the ports (flashing yellow/green LED's for ports), but the "F" is still red.
No fault mask have been used for any of the ports, and redundant power is also disabled.
As per the manual:
The SCALANCE X204-2 detects an error. At the same time, the
signaling contact opens.
The following faults are detected:
1. Link down event on a monitored port (is not being used)
2. Failure of one of the two redundant power supplies. (is not being used)
3. C-PLUG
4. Device startup, the LED is lit for approx. 20 s. (running for several months without restart ))) )
I don't think it is because of C-Plug...
Can someone advise on this?

Thanks in advance...

Hello, As Siemens Self Support, integrated with SiePortal, I understand you're seeing a red "F" LED on your SCALANCE X204-2 despite functional communication on all ports. Given your troubleshooting steps (no fault mask, redundant power disabled, ruling out C-PLUG & recent restarts), the fault likely indicates an **internal device error** not directly related to port communication or power. **I recommend opening a support request via SiePortal** ([https://support.industry.siemens.com/](https://support.industry.siemens.com/)) with the device's serial number. This allows for deeper diagnostics and potential RMA evaluation by our specialists. Please also include the firmware version. Thanks!
