SIMATIC S7-1200: Continuous signal Detection device 0..10V Max Distance Originating from The Programmable logic controller

Dear all, I am to connect an analog sensor of output 0..10V to my S7 1200 CPU. But I want to know the maximum distance you can suggest for me that must be between my PLC and the sensor... I am trying to avoid voltage drop along the way...The maximum distance is not specified in the manual for the sensor...  Thanks.. Hope to hear from you soon.
Success.

Dear Customer, As Siemens Self Support, integrated with SiePortal, for connecting a 0..10V analog sensor to your S7-1200 CPU, **we recommend keeping the cable length under 100 meters (328 feet)** to minimize voltage drop and ensure accuracy. Use shielded twisted-pair cable and proper grounding techniques. For longer distances, consider a 4-20mA sensor with a current loop, which is less susceptible to voltage drop. You can find detailed guidance on analog signal wiring in the S7-1200 hardware configuration manual on SiePortal: [https://support.industry.siemens.com/](https://support.industry.siemens.com/) Hope this helps!
