SIMODRIVE Converter system: Simodrive 611U removing module+dp

Hi all!
I have a question regarding the removal of  a module from SIMODRIVE + DP. I have already done some extensive research, but unfortunately I cannot find anything else except the
Function Manual SIMODRIVE 611 universal
which only covers hardware removal without the consequences of software error handling.
The complete setup is given by the following picture (611U config)
The module to be removed is A42.
My questionis how this can be done safely and without errors?
Hope you can help!

Hello! As Siemens Self Support, integrated with SiePortal, I understand you need guidance on safely removing module A42 from your SIMODRIVE + DP (611U configuration) without software errors. The Function Manual (SIMODRIVE 611 universal) details hardware removal, but doesn't cover software implications. **Crucially, before removing A42, you *must* use the drive's software (STAR2000 or similar) to:** 1. **Deactivate** the module within the configuration. 2. **Download** the modified configuration *with* the module removed to the drive. 3. **Power cycle** the drive *after* the download is complete. Removing the module without prior software deactivation *will* likely cause errors. For detailed step-by-step instructions, consult SiePortal using these keywords: "SIMODRIVE 611 module removal", "SIMODRIVE DP module exchange" and "STAR2000 module deactivation". You may also find relevant FAQs and application examples there.
