Dear users/specialists/masters
could anyone explain what could be the issue with the following:
locally in the plc cabinet input signal exists but CPU doesn't see it. (checked several times also reloaded hardware)
and this issue related more or less to 0.7 / 1.7 / 2.7 and so on (that consists .7) it is strange because some of the inputs with .7 works fine.
before in the commissioning time all was ok tested.
for the moment changing that inputs to a free ones.
is there any idea ? (power supply for each BU connected)
thanks

Dear User, As Siemens Self Support integrated with SiePortal, the issue of a missing input signal despite local presence, particularly those with ".7" in the address (e.g., 0.7, 1.7), suggests a potential hardware conflict or configuration issue within the Distributed Periphery (DP) system. **Possible Causes & Troubleshooting Steps:** 1. **DP Communication:** Verify DP communication is stable. Check for DP errors in the diagnostics. 2. **Hardware Configuration:** Double-check the hardware configuration in TIA Portal, ensuring correct module addressing and parameterization. Specifically, review the input module's diagnostics. 3. **Module Firmware:** Inconsistent or outdated firmware on the input modules can cause issues. Update to the latest version. 4. **Address Conflicts:** Though reloaded, carefully re-examine for any hidden address conflicts within the DP system. 5. **Power Supply:** Ensure stable power supply to each Bus Unit (BU), as you already mentioned. **SiePortal Resources:** Search SiePortal using keywords like "DP communication errors," "input module diagnostics," and "TIA Portal hardware configuration" for detailed guides and FAQs. If the problem persists, please provide the CPU model, input module type, and TIA Portal version for further assistance.
