SINAMICS general: Siemens drives Dcm - EMF spikes

Hallo,
I have few DCM's working as multimotor drives. Each one drives 6 to 12 motors connected in paralel. Speed feedback is from EMF. I noticed EMF spikes which are irregular on all drives. Some Times this spikes trigger fault F60043 EMF for braking operation too high , in another case trigger F60038 (N, A) Overspeed threshold overshot.
Does anyone have any idea what is the reason, or how to avoid faults ?
It happens witout or with load, with stable low setpoint in negative direction of rotation only (at least only in this case I have this faults). In attachment is trace of EMF with this spike.
Regards,
Maciek

Hello Maciek, As Siemens Self Support integrated with SiePortal, I understand you're experiencing EMF spikes and resulting faults (F60043 & F60038) in your multi-motor drive applications. **Likely Causes & Recommendations:** * **Resonance:** Parallel motor connections can create electrical resonances, amplified by EMF feedback. * **Cable Issues:** Long or unshielded EMF feedback cables are prone to noise pickup. * **EMF Sensor Sensitivity:** High sensor gain or improper configuration can exacerbate spikes. * **Braking Resistor:** Check the braking resistor for proper function. **Troubleshooting Steps:** 1. **Filter:** Implement EMF filtering (hardware or software) in the drive parameters. 2. **Shielding:** Ensure proper shielding and grounding of EMF feedback cables. 3. **Sensor Adjustment:** Reduce EMF sensor gain or adjust thresholds. 4. **Motor/Cable Check:** Inspect motor windings & cables for damage/insulation breakdown. 5. **SiePortal Search:** Search SiePortal using fault codes (F60043, F60038) for specific application notes. **Please provide the drive type (e.g., SINAMICS G120X) for more tailored advice.** You can find further assistance and related knowledge base articles on SiePortal: [https://support.industry.siemens.com/](https://support.industry.siemens.com/)
